My dream is to become a world-class martial artist, and in doing so, spark positive change in the world and inspire others to fight for the things that are worth fighting for.

I have been training in martial arts for most of my life. My background is in Taekwondo and Wushu, and I have been practicing mixed martial arts (MMA) for two and a half years. I previously lived in Beijing for a year to study Chinese martial arts, and I am fascinated by the evolution of traditional martial arts into what we see in MMA today.

I often think about how historically, martial artists were the people’s champions. They fought to protect the vulnerable. It’s a sentiment that I think is still very important in the martial arts world, and I hope to embody that in my career. I see this as a way of honoring the roots and purpose of martial arts.
